The conduction of special tests (e.g. cashmere and fine-hair analysis) and damage analysis (e.g. in cases of reclamation) is a steadily growing scope of duty at FIBRE.

We have the competency and experience necessary in this field. This puts us in the position of being able to meet increasing requirements from the industry, trade and end consumers. We have different testing possibilities and methods that enable us to detect the cause of damage or to isolate sources of error.

We work closely together with IMPETUS BIOSCIENCE GmbH in the analysis of fine animal hair. The goal of our cooperation is to detect the contamination of high-value and expensive cashmere hair with other low-priced fibers such as yak. Because of the extremely high resemblance of yak and cashmere hair, a reliable differentiation of the two using only a microscopic is very difficult. For this reason, we apply an analysis method that combines a scanning electron microscope and DNA analysis to obtain reliable results. This enables us to keep wrongfully declared goods from reaching our customers.

Our expertise, long-standing experience and detailed knowledge of the textile processing chain as well as our technical equipment enable us to detect and verify a number of causes for textile damage.
