The business unit of Fibers / Raw Materials deals with natural, synthetic and functional fibers. In addition, we offer research and services on all levels of the value-added chain, ranging from raw materials to qualified fibers. Our customers from the textile industry, textile mechanical engineering, manufacturers of measurement devices and subcontractors to the automotive industry all make use of these services.

The Faserinstitut has a fully equipped and internationally recognized test laboratory with qualified personnel and leading competency in the research of test methods and natural fibers. In addition, the institute has central importance in the international harmonization of tests and test methods.
