Harmonization

The following international activities take place in "Test Methods"
  • Comparison of test methods
  • Harmonization of the cotton tests with the BREMEN COTTON ROUND TRIALS
  • Harmonization of the wool tests in cooperation with INTERWOOLLABS
  • Participation in committees such as ITMF Committee on Cotton Testing Methods
  • Involvement in the ICAC Expert Panel (CSITC) for the introduction of a certification system for cotton test laboratories
FIBRE is a "designated lab" of the USDA for the compilation of international cotton calibration standards.

FIBRE participates in the following cotton round trials:
  • International Calibration Cotton Standards Micronaire Check Test. Participation as "Designated Lab". Organization: USDA
  • Micronaire Arbitration Check Test. Participation as an international arbitrage authority (Recognized Lab). Organization: USDA 
  • HVI Check Test Program, worldwide control test. Organization: USDA 
  • International Cotton Check Test Program, worldwide control test for Micronaire, Pressley, Stelometer, Fibrograph. Organization: USDA 
  • INTERWOOLLABS Cotton Round Trial (biannual). FIBRE has received the INTERWOOLLABS test seal 
  • Mohair Round Trial (annual). FIBRE meets the prerequisites.
