Visit from the Senator

On 1st of August we were honored to welcome Bremen’s Senator for Environment, Climate and Science, Kathrin Moosdorf. Together with Dr. Lars Henning, Head of the Department for Science Planning and Research Funding, she was able to enjoy a journey through FIBRE’s 50 year history, our current research foci on high performance composites, fiber development, process simulation and process monitoring and especially our plans for the future. As a highlight, we offered a tour through our labs showcasing the latest innovations in the fields of Tailored Fibre Placement, thermoplastic composite hydrogen vessels and especially our brand new cryogenic test lab. Thanks for the interest in our research and for the great discussions on our manifold contributions to Bremen’s industry and scientific community.
