Faserinstitute Bremen e.V. (FIBRE) has a general assembly, a board of trustees and an executive board. A scientific advisory board advises the board of trustees and the executive board.
The executive board consists of the director (chairman), the chief engineer and the senior research manager for cotton and standardization.
Research is organized in four competence fields, supported by a laboratory and technology center.
The administration department includes controlling, financial accounting and human resources.
The institute has an ISO 9001-certified management system for “research and development in the field of fibers and fiber composites as well as knowledge transfer”.
